Profile
I, like many artists, draw my artistic inspiration from nature. Natures influence is reflected in the planned textures and glazes of the pottery pieces. I use high fire stoneware clay. The glazes that I mix have been personally developed over the past 50 plus years to fit my concept of pottery which are food safe and true to my cone 10 firing. My pallette is earth tones in the glazes and stains. To accent and develop the pots, I use textures and antlers. The pots are wheel-thrown, slab and/or thrown and slab combined. To finish the pots I use textures, sculpture and design elements.
